Christof Industries has landed a major deal to deliver the central components for a new RDF waste incineration plant in Thailand’s capital, Bangkok. Once operational, the plant will convert between 8 and 15 tonnes of waste per hour into electrical energy.
At the heart of the incineration plant is a grate specially developed by Christof Industries’ subsidiary SFA. The advantage of this patented technology is that the grate plates are cooled using water, greatly reducing the thermal strain and thus also reducing wear on the components.
The plant will start operating at the end of 2016 and is being built in cooperation with EPC contractor APCON.
