Christof Industries continues to pursue strategic growth and has now taken over parts of the Oschatz Group, headquartered in Essen, Germany.
The newly acquired Oschatz Group has a history of expertise in industrial plant construction and in incineration technology. The company, founded in 1849, is a market leader in the fields of iron and steel metallurgy, non-iron metallurgy, as well as the construction of industrial facilities using chemical and power plant technologies; a position that it holds thanks to its products, including the world‘s first waste heat recovery boiler, which Oschatz brought out in the 1980s.
The parent company Oschatz GmbH based in Essen, the Oschatz Kraftwerkstechnik based in Hamburg, as well as subsidiaries in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia and Australia, are joining Christof Industries. These individual companies will be organised as subsidiaries of the newly founded Oschatz Energy & Environment GmbH.
